నేను నా ఇంటిని ఫారెస్ట్ హోమ్ అని పిలుస్తాను, ఇది సంజయ్ గాంధీ నేషనల్ పార్క్, బోరివలి, ముంబైతో సరిహద్దులను పంచుకుంటుంది. ఈ ఇల్లు ఇప్పటికే ఉన్న తాత్కాలిక నిర్మాణం యొక్క పునరుద్ధరణ. సాంప్రదాయ సున్నం ప్లాస్టర్‌తో గోడలను బలోపేతం చేయడం మరియు వాటర్‌ఫ్రూఫింగ్ చేయడం ఈ స్థలాన్ని హాయిగా ఉండే గృహంగా మార్చింది. కఠినమైన వర్షాలు మరియు నగరం యొక్క వేడిని తట్టుకోవడానికి సహజ పదార్థాలను ఉపయోగించి ఇంటిని పునరుద్ధరించారు.

పచ్చని ఎకరాలలో స్థానికంగా సేకరించిన సున్నం, మట్టి మరియు తిరిగి పొందిన కలపను ఉపయోగించి సాంప్రదాయ నిర్మాణ సాంకేతికతలతో స్థానిక కాటేజీని నిర్మిస్తున్నారు. ఇది 750 చదరపు అడుగుల మోడల్ కాటేజ్, ఇది పొలంలో మరిన్ని సంఖ్యలో ప్రతిరూపం కానుంది. ప్రాజెక్ట్ థర్మల్‌గా సౌకర్యంగా ఉండేలా రూపొందించబడింది మరియు శక్తి సామర్థ్యంతో నిర్మించబడుతోంది

Construction techniques used are ;
Foundation : Stone (Random rubble) foundations built using cement mortar and mud mortars depending on the site conditions
Walls : Mud bricks prepared on site and used with mud mortar , Stone walls, Laterite walls and Rat-trap bonded brick walls built using cement mortar.
Roof - Traditional wooden roofs using reclaimed wood and Filler slabs
Openings - Reclaimed/New wooden doors and windows and bottle work slabs.
Finishes - pointed exposed walls and mud plasters.

Walls : Brick walls in cement mortar, Stone wall in lime mortar (Jodhpur).
Roof - Traditional wooden roofs using reclaimed wood , Filler slabs , Stone Slabs (Jodhpur).
Openings - Reclaimed/New wooden doors and windows and bottle work in brick Jali.
Finishes - pointed exposed walls and LIME plasters (Jodhpur).
